When a user (Author, Reviewer, Editor or Publisher) accesses a manuscript in the EM system, information related to the manuscript appears in a table. The left most column, Action, includes a list of action links. The links that appear in the list change, depending on the actions required of the user and the features enabled by the publication.
The links can be viewed two ways: as a pop-up window or as an expanded list in the grid.
To expand the list: Click the + sign to the left of Action in the column header. The list of links appears in the column space.
To collapse the list: Click the - sign next to Action in the column header. This display shows a single link, Action Links, in the column space. Hover over this link to show the pop-up window. Slide the cursor over to the pop-up window (without clicking or holding down any buttons) to highlight the chosen link, and then left-click the mouse.
The expanded or collapsed state of the list is remembered in every EM folder, so the user may select a preferred view.
