The Reviewer Selection Summary page includes Editor access to the Reviewer Search tool. This enables the Editor to search the publication's database for potential Reviewers. (If the publication is part of a People Sharing group that shares Reviewer information, the search tool includes the option to search another publication.) In addition to defining search criteria, an Editor may choose from several other search types:
Some publications may want to restrict access to potentially sensitive Reviewer information, such as People Notes, Personal Classifications, and Personal Keywords. These may be excluded from the search criterion drop-down list.
In addition, publications may opt to offer a simplified set of search options. Each Editor role may be configured with appropriate search options and criteria (based on RoleManager permissions) to create a more streamlined experience with the Reviewer Search tool.
Go to RoleManager > Editor Role. Grant permissions to applicable Editor roles. The Reviewer Invitations section includes two sub-sections with settings related to Reviewer Search: Reviewer Search Options and Reviewer Search Criterion.
Reviewer Search Options: Check the box next to an option to make it appear as a search type for the Editor role.
Reviewer Search Criterion: Check the box next to an item to make it appear in the Criterion drop-down menu for this Editor role.
Flag Icons: Check the box next to the permission below to make People Flag Name available as a search criterion.
Note: If the settings, Search by Classification Matches, Search by Personal Classifications, and Personal Classifications, are all unchecked, the Classification column does not appear in the search results grid. In addition, the Classifications section of the My Reviewer Display Preferences page is suppressed.
Third-party services may also be available for reviewer searches. For details see, Configure Reviewer Finder Service.
