Define Reviewer Recommendation Terms

Reviewers can offer a recommendation for the submission they have reviewed by using terms defined by the publication. These terms are presented in a drop-down list on the Reviewer Recommendation and Comments page.

To configure:

Go to PolicyManager > Reviewer and Editor Form Policies > Reviewer Recommendation Policies > Edit Reviewer Recommendation Terms.

To create a new term:

  1. Click  + Add Reviewer Recommendation Term to open a pop-up window.
  2. Enter the term in the text box.
  3. Click the Save icon or, to enter another phrase, click the Save and Add icon.

The Edit Reviewer Recommendation Terms page displays a list of all the defined terms. The order of terms on this page is the same order in which they are displayed in the drop-down list on the Reviewer Recommendation and Comments page.

Existing terms may be edited, hidden (i.e., retired from use), unhidden (i.e., returned to active use), and reordered. Active terms appear in black text; hidden terms appear in gray italicized text.
