A Schedule Group is a collection of submissions that share a publication schedule. A Schedule Group can be used to manage the submissions assigned to a journal issue. A Schedule Group can also be used for books processing. If a publication site is configured for books processing, the site may be configured to display book-specific terminology (e.g., Schedule Group = Book). For books processing, labels of pages, buttons, headers, etc. may be different from the terms used below.
Information about a Schedule Group is available via the Edit Group Details link in the Schedule Group's Action column in the Manage Schedule Groups folder.
The top section of the Edit Schedule Group Details page displays Schedule Group metadata. Metadata fields may be edited.
This section may also include Additional Schedule Group Detail (ASGD) fields (defined by the publication). Depending on configuration and user permission, the fields may be editable. Users with permission can turn on/off custom flags associated with each ASGD field via a checkbox next to the ASGD field. When set, flags appear next to the Edit Group Details link for the Schedule Group in the Manage Schedule Groups folder.
The bottom section of the page displays the Schedule Group table of contents (TOC). The contents list includes headers that have been defined for the TOC and submissions that have been added to the Schedule Group. Two links above the TOC grid allow a user to download the TOC.
Each submission line includes links to a variety of submission information and a link to remove it from the group.
Titles of holders for invited submissions (Proposals for journals or Projects for book processing) appear as TOC headers. Headers may also be added manually.
