Editor Description Field

Publications may want to define a finer stratification of Editor Roles, for example, designating one person as Editor (Europe) and another as Editor (North America), without having to set up separate roles with the same permissions.

The Editor Description field appears as an editable text field (with a limit of 256 characters) on the Search People – Update Information page for any user assigned to an Editor role.

Once a description is added to an Editor's record, it appears on the following pages, where individual Editor names are displayed:

An Editor Description column appears in the grids displayed on the Assign Editor page and the Add Participants to Discussion.
