Email Autofill for Ad Hoc Letters

EM features an email autofill function similar to that of MS Outlook. It provides email address suggestions based on the characters you type and the frequency with which you use addresses. This feature is available for the Ad Hoc from Editor and Ad Hoc from Publisher letter families.

Suggestions available to a particular user (Editor or Publisher) may be people who have records in EM (not necessarily tied to the submission for which the email is being sent) as well as people who may not have records in EM. Each Editor/Publisher will have an individual set of frequently used email addresses that builds over time.

Once you send a letter to an email address, the address is added to your Suggested Recipient List that the system draws on later for the autofill function. Your set of frequently used email addresses builds over time.

When you begin to type in a recipient field (To, cc, bcc) on the Customize Letter page, a list of suggestions appears. Click on an address to choose it.

You can view your address list by clicking the gear icon to the right of the "From" address. You can also remove addresses from your list (helpful if a contact's email address changes).

To remove an address:

  1. Click the gear icon on the Customize Letter page to open the Manage Suggested Recipient List pop-up window.
  2. Check the box next to the address to remove.
  3. Click Submit.
