Include Personal URLs in People Records

Personal URLs can be entered in a user's People record. The URLs will display as active links that open in a new browser window when clicked.

Three People URL fields are available on the Search People – Update Information page. They can be used to link to websites that contains information about the person, e.g., the person's private website or a page that contains the person's review statistics from a previous tracking system.

These People URL fields can be populated in two ways:

By data import during implementation
By manual input by the editorial office or Editor on the Search People – Update Information page (These fields cannot be populated from the Registration page or from the Update My Information page.)

The full URL must be entered (i.e., must start with http://or https://).

Editor roles with appropriate permissions can see the URL links when a record is accessed via Search People and on the People Information page (accessed via Reviewer Selection Summary, Select Reviewer, Assign Editor, and Reports).

TO CONFIGURE:

Go to RoleManager > Editor Role. Grant permissions to the applicable Editor roles:
