Manuscript analysis services evaluate submission materials, for example, to check for compliance with industry guidelines or to perform statistical analysis. Publications may allow all user roles to access the results returned by these third-party services. In addition, Editor and Publisher roles may be granted permission to initiate analysis requests.
A Manuscript Analysis Services action link Editor folders (except for Submissions with Active Discussions folder) and in submission search results. The link may also be configured to display on the Details page and on the Technical Check page.
For users with view-only permission, the link will appear when analysis results are available. Editors with permission to initiate analysis requests will see the Manuscript Analysis Services link even when no results are available. A yellow alert icon appears next to the link when new results require attention.
Users with Publisher roles may see a Manuscript Analysis Services action link in the Accepted Submissions folder and in submission search results. The link may also be configured to display on the Details page.

Clicking the link opens the Manuscript Analysis Services page. A table lists information for each analysis service, including: date of analysis, revision of the submission sent for analysis, workflow event or user that triggered the analysis, status of the analysis request, and scores from the service (if sent).
For users with view-only permissions, two links may be displayed in the Actions column, depending on the format of analysis results:

Note: Only one report per analysis service is available on this page. If a results report is returned and a second analysis request initiated, the new report will replace the previous one.
