Multilingual Capability

A publication may provide access to its site in more than one language. The site is automatically shown in the default language.

When multiple languages are available, users can select their preferred language option via a Site Language selector on the user drop-down menu after login. The system retains the user's preference.

Note: If the browser cookies are cleared between sessions, or a different browser is used, the site's default language is displayed.

Exceptions to personal language preferences

The following items do not currently switch to the language selected using the language toggle:

PDF cover pages: These are always generated using the publication's configured default language and not the preference of the user triggering the build.
System alerts: These are displayed in the top right area of the main menu bar.
Text configurable by the publication (decision terms, custom instructions, etc.): Multilingual publications may prepare multilingual versions of these items (i.e., hybrid terms containing multiple languages).
Correspondence/Letter templates: Multilingual publications may prepare multilingual versions.

TO CONFIGURE:

Contact your Aries Account Coordinator to enable alternate languages for your publication. Once this feature is enabled for your site, the Site Language selector displays for all users.
