The main navigation menu contains multiple links that enable users to access different parts of the publication's site as well as helpful information. Click the Register link at the top right corner of the page to begin the registration process.
If a single sign-on (SSO) option is enabled, users may be redirected to an external SSO system to register before logging in to EM and completing the registration process.
The pre-registration page can vary (depending on publication configuration). For standard registration, you will be asked for name and email address. You may have the option to register with information from an ORCID record. To learn more about ORCID, visit the ORCID website.
After you enter your name and email address (either directly or via ORCID or an SSO), the system checks to see if you are already registered. If the system finds an existing user record that matches, you may request that your login details be sent to the email on record. When you receive the email, follow instructions in the email to log in. If no matches are found, you may continue registration.
Click the Continue button to go to the registration page. Registration fields vary by publication. Required fields appear in red text marked with an asterisk (*).
When fields are complete, continue to the confirmation page.
Click Use My ORCID Record on the pre-registration step to open a login pop-up window for the ORCID site. You must log in to ORCID and grant permission for ORCID to send information to the publication site.
If the data are available and not set to private in your ORCID record, some fields will be populated automatically in your registration form on the publication site:
You may enter additional information as needed on the registration page. Required fields appear in red text marked with an asterisk (*).
When fields are complete, continue to the confirmation page.
Note: Your ORCID password is not exposed to the publication/Editorial Manager (EM). Only information that you have set as not private is passed from ORCID.
Check the accuracy of information on the confirmation page and correct as needed. Answer required registration questions.
You will be required to acknowledge privacy policies in compliance with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Information on GDPR is available here.
You may be presented with additional questions from the publication. Required fields are marked with a red asterisk (*).
When finished, click Continue to complete the registration process. You will receive an email to confirm your registration and to provide login details.
