Author, Reviewer, Editor, and Publisher roles can be granted permission to access third-party bibliographic databases (Ovid, SCOPUS, PubMed, etc.) and search engines (Yahoo, Google, etc.) directly from the EM system.
A link to the applicable database or search engine appears in the Action link list in applicable folders. Clicking a link sends the predefined information (Title, Author, etc.) to the third-party search engine, and the results appear in a new tab.
For additional information, see Search Similar Articles in MEDLINE and Search Author Publications in MEDLINE.
Bibliographic Search tools must be enabled for your publication and search strategies configured. Contact your Aries Account Coordinator.
If multiple Bibliographic Search strategies have been set up for a publication, the administrator can select which search strategies to enable for each role.
Go to RoleManager > Author or Reviewer or Editor or Publisher Role. Grant permission to the applicable roles.
The Bibliographic Search section lists all search tools enabled for the publication. Check the box next to a search engine to grant access to it.
