"Go to Publication" Shortcut for Cross-Publication Activity

Users with Editor and Publisher roles who work on multiple publications may be allowed to switch between sites (within a publisher's set of sites) via the main navigation: Shortcuts > Go to Publication. The user designates the list of publications that appear in the menu.

To create a list of publications to include in your drop-down menu:

  1. Click your name in the top right corner of the page to open the user drop-down menu.
  2. Click the Update My Information link to open the Update My Information page.
  3. Click the Edit 'Go to' Publication List link (on the left side of the page) to open a pop-up window.
  4. Enter publication acronym in text box and click Add. (The publication is added to the list.)
  5. Click the Verify link. (The system searches to find a matching record on the publication.) OR enter additional publications and then click Batch Verify. (The system searches to find matching records on all listed publications.)
  6. Click Copy List to Matching Records. (This creates the publication list on all listed sites, so you don't have to repeat these steps on the other sites.)

Note: This feature is intended for publications in the same publishing group; therefore, as a security measure, only publications owned by the same publisher can be added to your list.
