Publications may allow Authors to submit audio, video, and other file types that are not possible to build into a PDF format. Once submitted, these supplementary files are accessible via a link in the submission PDF. All uploaded files are checked for viruses.
The publication may configure a file upload size limit. If a limit is set, Authors and Editors cannot upload a file larger than the configured size limit.
To create a Submission Item that builds a link in the PDF instead of displaying the file (or to modify an existing Submission Item for this purpose), go to PolicyManager > Submission Policies > Edit Submission Items. Create a new Submission Item or select an existing one.
On the Add/Edit Submission Item Type page, two settings related to this feature:
Both of these settings must be turned on in order to enable the functionality.

To set a size limit on files, go to PolicyManager > Submission Policies >Set Maximum Size of Uploaded File. In the text box, enter a whole number (integer) of megabytes. Leave the text box blank to impose no limit.
