For calculating assignment due dates, publications may use either calendar days (seven days per week, including Saturday and Sunday) or working days (five days per week, excluding Saturday and Sunday). This setting is used for due date calculations across the site:
Due dates based on "days before [target date]" also take non-working days into consideration when calculated.
Examples:
A Reviewer Invitation is allowed 14 calendar days to be completed. If the Reviewer accepts the assignment on Friday, February 16, 2018, it is due on Friday, March 2, 2018 (14 calendar days later, including all weekend days).
A Reviewer Invitation is allowed 14 working days to be completed. If the Reviewer accepts the assignment on Friday, February 16, 2007, it is due on Thursday, March 8, 2007 (14 working days later, excluding all weekend days).
Note: If a publication changes from one calculation method to another, due dates that have previously been calculated are not recalculated. The new method will apply to future invitations, assignments, and tasks.
Go to PolicyManager > General Policies > Configure General Due Date Preferences. Select the radio button next to the preferred setting, Calendar days or Working days, for calculating due dates. When finished, click Submit.
