Configure Production Notes Field

Publications may configure a Production Notes field to enable users with Editor or Publisher roles to enter notes related to the submission. Roles may be granted permission to view the field and to edit the field.

The field may be configured to display on custom Details pages and on the transmittal form. On publication sites using ProduXion Manager, the field is available to display on the production status grid for users with permission to access the grid.

TO CONFIGURE:

The field must be configured to display and permissions granted to use it.

To display on Details page: Go to PolicyManager > General Policies > Define Details Page Layouts. Select the applicable layout and click the Edit link. Use the Select Items to Display link. In the General Manuscript Information section, check the box next to the setting, Production Notes. For detailed instructions, see Configure Details Page.

To display on transmittal form: Go to PolicyManager > Transmittal Policies > Select Manuscript Metadata Fields. Check the box next to the setting, Production Notes, and click Save.

Go to RoleManager > Editor or Publisher Role. Grant permissions to the applicable roles:
