Report Tools on Menu and Report Viewer Pages (EAR or Cross-Publication EAR)
Information below applies to both Enterprise Analytics Reporting (EAR) and Cross-Publication Enterprise Analytics Reporting (Cross-Publication EAR).
Menu page
Report names appear as links on the EAR/Cross-Publication EAR menu page. Click a report name to run the report. Results displayed are based on the report's default selection criteria.
Hover the cursor over a report name without clicking to display a selection of tools. The tool icons will appear to the left of the report name link.
- Delete icon (red box with white X): Appears only for reports created by the user and shared reports "owned" by the user (reports saved with "Full Access" sharing rights most recently saved by the user). See Delete Report (EAR or Cross-Publication EAR).
- Design icon (pencil): Enables the user to copy or edit the existing report when viewing report results. See Create or Edit Report (EAR or Cross-Publication EAR).
- Email icon (envelope): Enables the user to email report results. This tool also appears in the toolbar at the top of report pages when viewing report results. See Email Report (EAR or Cross-Publication EAR).
- SFTP icon: Enables the user to send report results via SFTP. This tool also appears in the toolbar at the top of report pages when viewing report results. See Send Report via SFTP (EAR or Cross-Publication EAR).
- Schedule icon (calendar): Enables the user to save one or more delivery schedules for a report. (This option appears only for Editors with the related permission.) This tool also appears in the toolbar at the top of report pages when viewing report results. See Schedule Report Delivery (EAR or Cross-Publication EAR).
Report Viewer page
A toolbar appears at the top of the report results page after a report is run.
Tools in the top row of the toolbar provide options for a user to share and export results.

- Email icon (envelope): As described above.
- SFTP icon: As described above.
- Schedule icon: As described above.
- Navigation
- Report List icon and link: Returns user to the menu page.
- Download options
- Print icon: Creates a PDF file of report to download and print.
- Excel icon: Downloads results in comma separated value (CSV) format.
- OpenOffice icon: Downloads results in OpenOffice document (SXW) format.
- Microsoft Excel icon: Microsoft Excel single file web page format (this option not currently available for MAC users).
- Microsoft Excel 2001-2013 icon: Download the results in Microsoft Excel 2007-2013 (XLSX) format.
- XML icon: Downloads results in an XML document.
- Additional tools
- Results: Use the drop-down menu to limit the number of results displayed in the report.
- Design icon (pencil): Click to switch from view to edit mode for the report.
Tools in the second row of the toolbar enable the user to filter results. (Changes to filters are not saved in view mode.)
- Hide Filters/Show Filters icons and links: Filters set for the report are displayed below the toolbar and above results by default when the report is run.
- Add Field: Adds the field as a new column to the report. Select field from the drop-down list. Report displays update automatically.
- Delete Field: Removes the field as a column in the report. Select field from the drop-down list. Report displays update automatically.
- Update Results icon and link: Click to rerun report after making changes to filters.
