A Schedule Group is a collection of submissions that share a publication schedule. A Schedule Group can be used to manage the submissions assigned to a journal issue. A Schedule Group can also be used for books processing. If a publication site is configured for books processing, the site may be configured to display book-specific terminology (e.g., Schedule Group = Book). For books processing, labels of pages, buttons, headers, etc. may be different from the terms used below.
Users with Editor or Publisher roles may have permission to cancel a Schedule Group task assignment. Task assignments may only be cancelled by the user who assigned them. Tasks that are configured to be assigned automatically may only be cancelled by the user who is the assignor of record in the task configuration. A user with proxy permission may proxy into the system as the assignor and cancel the task assignment.
To cancel a Schedule Group task assignment:
Once a task is cancelled, it will no longer appear in the task list of the person to whom it was assigned. Cancellation information is captured in the Production Status Grid.
