Invited Submissions: Commentaries and Proposals

Two features enable publications to invite Authors to submit materials, Commentaries and Proposals.

Commentaries: A publication may solicit commentaries on a submitted article (that may or may not have yet been accepted for publication). This feature provides a way to invite an Author to submit a commentary and link the existing ("parent") submission to the associated commentaries ("child" submissions).

Proposals: A publication may invite Authors to submit manuscripts, e.g., for a special issue. This feature provides a way to invite Authors to submit papers and link the submissions to the proposal for the purpose of tracking.
