Search People results are displayed in a grid of eight columns: Name, City, State or Province, Country, Author Role, Reviewer Role, Editor Role, and Publisher Role.
Up to 500 records may be displayed on one page. Select the preferred number of results per page by using the drop-down menu.
Results can be sorted in alphabetical order (A–Z or Z–A) using the sorting arrows at the top of each column (except Author). Two levels of sort are allowed. For example, sorting first by country and then by name creates a list of records alphabetized overall by country; then records within each country list are alphabetized by name.
The results of a search can be downloaded in a tab-delimited text file (in UTF-8 format) by clicking the Download Search Results button.
Each record displays the person's name as a link, which opens the individual's Search People – Update Information page. For details see, Search People - Update Information Page.
Flag icons may appear next to the individual's name if any people flags have been set for that person. In addition, a purple KF icon appears if the publication has enabled the feature, Search Author Publications in MEDLINE.
An additional column (Merge People) appears on the far left if the Editor user has permission to merge duplicate people records.
Each record shows that person's assigned Role(s) in the appropriate column(s), e.g., Author, Reviewer, Assistant Editor, etc. The Role names appear as yellow highlighted links if the Editor user has proxy permission for the corresponding Role. The Role names appear as plain text if the Editor user does not have this permission.
