Reviewers May Be Proxy Registered

An Editor may want to invite an individual to review a submission, but that potential Reviewer is not already registered in the publication's EM site. The Editor may opt to proxy register the Reviewer as a new user. The Editor must provide at least minimal information about the new user: name, email address, and country or region.

If you have been proxy registered as a potential Reviewer, you will receive an email notification of the proxy registration. The email includes login information. The first time you log in to the publication's site, the system prompts you (as a new user) to enter any additional information the Editor may not have included and to answer any required registration questions.

As a potential Reviewer, you may also receive an email invitation to review a paper. The invitation may contain clickable deep links to accept or to decline the invitation to review. Clicking one of the deep links allows you to accept or decline the invitation immediately. You will have to confirm information and answer registration questions the next time you log in to the publication's site.
